Deja vu all over again
Well hey! Thanks for making it back to the new and improved Gabfest. I let this thing get super stale since '06 so I'm starting fresh. Now that Wellesley has set me loose into the world and I'll be abroad, I need an efficient way to keep in touch with people--word on the street these days is that this is one of the best ways to do just that. So there you have it! I can't promise minute-by-minute updates (nor would you want that particularly), but I will surely do my best to keep you all apprised of the major stuff.
So...I'm still at Swells doing psych research on wisdom until 8/11 when I'll be going back to DC for 2 weeks. Then I leave for Quito on 8/26!! I'm getting really excited especially now that I have some info about my host family. Apparently I'm going to have 4 host brothers which will be quite a change of pace from 4 years at Wellesley, but I'm ready for something new and different. My host parents own their own restaurant so hopefully I can look forward to some stellar meals. And I'll be living a block away from my school which will be very convenient. So yayie, I'm getting psyched for this trip!
Ok, well I'll keep this short and sweet for now seeing as how I'm still in the country and can talk to all of you by phone. Check back here after the 26th for news, stories, and random thoughts from abroad. :)
